HelpMeWalk is a colaborative project involving four academic partners and eight associated partners
Academic Partners
Université de Strasbourg
The ICube Laboratory of the University of Strasbourgis the project coordinator. ICube will be in charge of the design of the multilateration algorithm that accuratly computes the position of each sensor from the magnetic field they measue as well as the integration of sensors in the bangage.
Fachhochschule Nordwestschweitz
The FHNW will be in charge of the design of the electronic hardware for this project. This encompasses the PCB boards on which magnetic sensors will be soldered as well as the control of the coil that will generate magnetic fields.
Hochschule Kaiserslautern
The HSKL will be in charge of the development of the algorithm providing the 3D model of the ankle from the scatter plot of the position of the sensors in the bandage.
Hochschule Furtwangen
The HFU will be in charge of the encapsulation of sensors and electronic boards in a biocompatible polymer which aim at improving the robustness of the device towards mechanical stresses during usage (torsion, shear) and conditions of use (humidity, skin transpiration)
Associated Partners
The main associated martner of the project id the BellwaldTEC GmbH company, a start-up which is a spin-off de la FHNW, that developp and market innovative solutions for body scan in orthopedic applications.
The other associated partners are two partners in the field of smart textils:
- The Laboratoire de Physique et Mécanique Textile of the Université de Haute-Alsace (UHA)
- La duotec company specialized in the integration of electronics within textil.
as well as four orthopetic technician by which a clinical study will be performed at the end of the project:
- Bäsler Orthopädie (Bâle, Switzerland)
- the doctor office of Dr. Leiber-Wackenheim (Strasbourg, France)
- the Sanitätshaus Wurster GmbH (Freudenstadt, Germany)
- the adViva SanitätsCenter (Heidelberg, Germany)
