{"id":879,"date":"2025-07-01T14:52:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T12:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helpmewalk.eu\/?p=879"},"modified":"2025-08-19T15:03:31","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T13:03:31","slug":"helpmewalk-at-newcas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helpmewalk.eu\/index.php\/en\/2025\/07\/01\/helpmewalk-at-newcas\/","title":{"rendered":"HelpMeWalk at NEWCAS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society is the leading organization that promotes the advancement of the theory, analysis, computer-aided design and practical implementation of circuits, and the application of circuit theoretic techniques to systems and signal processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 23rd IEEE International NEWCAS Conference were held in Paris, France on June 22 &#8211; 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:36% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"302\" height=\"100\" src=\"http:\/\/helpmewalk.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/cropped-NEWCAS-logo-302x100-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-676 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/helpmewalk.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/cropped-NEWCAS-logo-302x100-1.png 302w, https:\/\/helpmewalk.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/cropped-NEWCAS-logo-302x100-1-300x99.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Manon Lambert, a PhD student in the ICube UNISTRA team, took part in the IEE NEWCAS.<br><br>A joint publication with the FHNW team and BellwaldTec has been accepted and will be published on I<strong>EEE Xplore<\/strong> :<br><br>&#8220;<strong>Machine-learning algorithm applied to magnetic localization<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>During the conference, a poster was presented highlighting the research carried out by the ICube team and its potential applications in magnetic localization.<br><br><strong>Magnetic localization<\/strong> is a technique widely used in the biomedical field to track objects in environments without direct line of sight. The versatility of this technology allows it to be applied to various problems such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>indoor localization,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>needle tracking for surgery,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>motion tracking in the entertainment industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond its traditional uses, magnetic localization now enables advanced applications such as <strong>body scanning<\/strong>. In this type of application, a set of magnetic sensors is placed on the object whose shape is to be determined.
